Your tracking preferences.

Control optional Google and Meta measurement of visits, enquiries and tour bookings on our website and public booking pages. Turning it off does not affect your ability to browse or book.

Your choice is saved for six months in this browser and shared with book.smashfactor.hk. Clearing cookies or using another browser means you will need to choose again. Sharing your booking email or phone number with Meta and Google for ad measurement requires the separate, unticked checkbox on the booking form. Turning tracking back on does not give that permission.

Opting out stops future optional tracking. Events already sent cannot be recalled through this control.

4. Cookies

4.1 Our Site uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of the Site. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our Site and also allows us to improve our Site.

4.2 A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. We use necessary cookies to operate our services and remember your privacy choices. Optional measurement cookies are controlled through the Opt-out link in our footer and the tracking preferences on this page.

4.3 We use persistent cookies and session cookies. A persistent cookie stays in your browser and will be read by us when you return to our Site or a partner site that uses our services. Session cookies only last for as long as the session (usually the current visit to a website or a browser session).

4.4 We use the following cookies:

(a) Strictly necessary cookies – These are cookies that are required for the operation of our Site. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website, use a shopping cart or make use of e-billing services.

(b) Analytical/performance cookies – They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our Site when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Site works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.

(c) Targeting cookies – These cookies record your visit to our Site, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our Site and the information displayed on it more relevant to your interests.

4.5 You can block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you do so, you may not be able to access all or parts of our Site.

4.6 We use Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel to measure visits, enquiries and completed tour bookings, and to understand which advertisements bring visitors to our studio. Depending on your tracking choice, these services may receive page and event information, advertising click and cookie identifiers, and browser or device information, including IP addresses. Our public marketing pages and public tour-booking pages use this measurement; private booking-management links, member, admin and kiosk screens are excluded from this marketing setup.

4.7 Optional browser measurement is on by default unless you opt out. Use the Opt-out link beside Privacy Policy in the footer to turn it off or on. The preference is shared between smashfactor.hk and book.smashfactor.hk in the same browser and remembered for six months. It does not prevent you from browsing or booking. Clearing cookies or using another browser or device requires a new choice.

4.8 The tour-booking form separately asks whether you agree to share your contact details with Meta and Google to measure our ads. The checkbox starts unticked and is not required to book. If you tick it and have not opted out, we may send hashed versions of your booking email address and phone number to Meta through its Conversions API and to Google through Google Ads Enhanced Conversions. These providers can match the hashes with their own account data to attribute bookings to advertisements. Hashing is not anonymisation. We record the permission for that booking; an earlier booking or a decision to turn browser tracking on does not supply this permission.

4.9 Contact matching may be accompanied by booking-event information and advertising identifiers. Contact details and their hashes are not included in our Google Analytics events. Opting out stops future optional browser measurement and requests cancellation of eligible Meta conversion events that are still waiting to be sent. A request already in progress or information already received by a provider cannot be recalled by this browser control. For questions about previously shared data or withdrawal of permission, contact hello@smashfactor.hk.

4.10 Google and Meta may process measurement information outside Hong Kong under their own privacy policies. You can also manage the advertising preferences available in your Google and Meta accounts. Our advertising-measurement permission does not sign you up for direct marketing messages described in Clause 2.2.

5. Third-party sites

Our Site or our communication with you may from time to time contain links to third-party websites over which we have no control. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that they have their own practices and policies. We encourage you to read the privacy policies or statements of these websites to understand your rights. We accept no responsibility or liability for any practices of third-party websites.

6. Security

6.1 All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers.

6.2 Any payment transactions will be encrypted using TLS/SSL technology.

6.3 Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password that enables you to access certain parts of the Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

6.4 Please note, however, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk.

7. Your rights

7.1 You have the right to:

(a) check whether we hold personal data about you;

(b) access any personal data we hold about you; and

(c) require us to correct any inaccuracy or error in any personal data we hold about you.

7.2 Any request under Clause 7.1 may be subject to a small administrative fee to meet our cost in processing your request.

8. Changes to our privacy policy

We may amend this policy from time to time by posting the updated policy on our Site. By continuing to use our Site after the changes come into effect means that you agree to be bound by the revised policy.
