Coming to work on your swing?

If you usually finish a session wondering what to work on next, this is where Smash Factor’s setup can help. Trackman 4 gives you club and ball data, while two camera angles let you see the swing behind the shot.

Trusted on tour, useful in your own practice. The PGA TOUR renewed its Trackman partnership through 2030. Its technology helps tour players fine-tune their games, supports ShotLink tracking and captures range data at Signature Events.

For you, the appeal is understanding why a shot flew the way it did, then checking whether a swing change helped. Paired with our dual-angle replay, that makes Smash Factor a strong choice if improving your game is the priority.

Keep it simple. Pick one thing to look at:

  • Shots curving off line? Look at club path and face-to-path alongside ball flight.
  • Distances all over the place? Compare carry across a few shots.
  • Working on a movement? Pull up the replay and see whether you made the change.

You do not need to know all the numbers before visiting. During our free intro, we use your own shots to explain what to watch. Have a look at the setup and the data Trackman provides.

Golfzon’s GDR bays offer shot feedback, replay and practice modes, but they use a different system from its TwoVision rooms. At Smash Factor, even the open-bay rate gets you Trackman 4, dual-angle replay and 4K projection. You do not need to book a private room to get that setup.

Pick your space

At Smash Factor, you can book an open bay for a solo session or choose a room for more privacy. Trackman 4, dual swing cameras and 4K projection come with every space. The differences are seating, screen size and privacy. Take a look around the bays and rooms.

At Golfzon Kowloon Bay, the choice also changes your simulator: GDR in the open bays, TwoVision in the rooms.

Fit a session into your day

Prefer an early session before work, or a few swings late at night? Smash Factor members and valid lesson-pass holders can book practice 24/7. Practice is paid separately, and lessons are by appointment.

Golfzon Kowloon Bay opens 10am to midnight daily. There are five Golfzon branches across Hong Kong, so another location might fit your daily route better. Check the locations.

If you are learning, think about when you will practise between lessons too. Our Golf Foundations programme combines movement training with golf technique. A lesson pass lets you come back for practice at preferential rates, without taking out annual membership.

More of a round-with-friends person?

Golfzon’s sounds and game-style presentation give it a livelier, more playful feel in our experience. If that is part of the fun for your group, it is worth a look.

Trackman feels closer to a traditional round to us: choosing your club, picking a line and working your way around a recreated course. Its platform has 500+ courses, with course properties LiDAR scanned before being brought into the simulator. Trackman’s course count · How the courses are built.

How much do you need to put down?

At Smash Factor, it is $2,680 for annual membership, then $150/hour for solo open-bay practice. That gets you the member rate without buying a bigger practice package. You pay for sessions as you book.

Golfzon’s prepaid plans work differently. Larger credit purchases unlock bigger green-fee discounts:

  • EC: $2,980 credit, valid for three months.
  • Business Class: $18,800 credit, valid for twelve months, with 30% off green fees.
  • First Class: $29,800 credit, valid for twenty-four months, with 50% off green fees.

See Golfzon’s plans. Remember, that is credit you can spend on eligible usage. Smash Factor’s membership fee is separate from your practice bill.

A bigger prepaid balance does not automatically mean better value. Both studios have stated session rates. With Smash Factor, the more you practise during your membership year, the less the annual fee adds to each hour. You do not need to buy a larger credit package to unlock the $150 open-bay rate.

What about Golfzon’s morning and night offers?

Golfzon Kowloon Bay’s 3 September 2025 session-special promotion lists:

  • Driving range: $138/hour, Monday–Thursday, 9pm–midnight.
  • Private room: $268/hour, Monday–Friday, 10am–2pm.
  • Private room at night: $268/hour, Monday–Friday, 11pm–midnight, or Sunday, 9pm–midnight.

Payment is by GOLFZON DOLLAR only, and public holidays are excluded. Check that the offer is still running before booking.

The $138 offer is cheaper than Smash Factor’s $150 open-bay session rate. It is a GDR driving-range offer, however, while our open bays have the same Trackman 4 setup as our rooms. The choice is about the practice tools and booking times you want, as well as the price.

What does a regular practice habit cost?

Practise six hours a month and your average cost, including annual membership, is about:

  • $187/hour for an open bay.
  • $237/hour for a private room, with up to two golfers included.

Based on six hours a month, with the annual membership fee spread across twelve months. The private-room average is below Golfzon’s advertised $268 session special, without needing to book a morning or late-night promotional slot. Our member session rates also apply on weekends and public holidays.

Lessons and optional extras are additional. If you have a visitor lesson pass, solo open-bay practice is $250/hour during its validity. You can check all the rates or put your own routine into our cost calculator.

So, where would you play?

Put Smash Factor on your list if you want regular Trackman practice, flexible hours and the same equipment wherever you book. The smaller upfront membership payment also makes it easier to start without buying a large credit balance.

Take a look at Golfzon if you like game-style rounds, simulator competitions, or have a preferred branch or coach.

You can enjoy a social round or a focused practice session at either. At Smash Factor, start with a free 30-minute intro: hit a few shots, see your swing back and get a feel for the space. It is a simple way to decide whether you would enjoy coming back.

Does the equipment change between open bays and private rooms?

At Smash Factor, the core equipment stays the same. Choose your bay or room by seating, screen size and privacy. At Golfzon Kowloon Bay, open bays use GDR and rooms use TwoVision.

Which studio suits regular practice between lessons?

Smash Factor members and valid lesson-pass holders can book Trackman practice 24/7, with practice charged separately. Golfzon Kowloon Bay also offers lessons and practice, with opening hours of 10am to midnight.

Do I need to prepay a large package to get Smash Factor’s member rate?

Is Smash Factor cheaper than Golfzon’s session specials?

It depends on the space and how often you play. At six hours of private-room practice a month, Smash Factor averages about $237/hour including annual membership, based on six hours a month, below the $268 private-room offer in Golfzon’s September 2025 promotion. That poster also lists a $138 driving-range offer, which is below our $150 open-bay session rate. Our open bays include Trackman 4, dual-angle replay and 4K projection; compare the setup as well as the price.

Can I try Smash Factor before joining?

Yes. Book a free 30-minute intro to hit shots, review your swing and explore the studio. We explain the feedback so you can decide whether the setup works for you.
